Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: April 12, 2026
AP Dental Center is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our websites at ap.dental and apdentalcenter.com.
Conformance Status
We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the basis for most accessibility-related laws in the United States, including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Our websites are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. We are actively working to close any remaining gaps.
Recent Improvements
As part of our ongoing accessibility program, we completed the following improvements on April 12, 2026:
- Form labels — All input fields in our online appointment booking and wellness plan enrollment now have programmatically associated labels for screen reader users.
- Keyboard navigation — Every interactive element on the site, including the booking widget, location selectors, service options, and date pickers, can now be operated using only a keyboard. Visible focus indicators are present throughout.
- Screen reader compatibility — Buttons, links, expandable sections, and form controls now correctly announce their role and state to assistive technologies including VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS.
- Reduced motion support — Visitors who prefer reduced motion (System Preferences setting) now see a static homepage hero by default.
- Mobile drawer focus management — The mobile navigation menu traps focus while open and returns focus correctly when closed.
Additional improvements scheduled for the following weeks include expanded heading structure and arrow-key navigation for the appointment date picker.
Compatibility with Browsers and Assistive Technology
Our websites are designed to be compatible with the following browsers and assistive technologies:
- Browsers: the latest two versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge
- Screen readers: Apple VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), and TalkBack (Android)
- Keyboard navigation: all functionality is available using the Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, arrow keys, and Escape
Tips for the Best Experience
- Use the latest version of your browser.
- Enable your preferred assistive technology in your operating system settings.
- Adjust browser zoom (Cmd++ on Mac, Ctrl++ on Windows) to enlarge text and images.
- Enable "Reduce Motion" in your operating system settings if animations cause discomfort.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on our website may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Embedded third-party content such as Google Maps may not fully meet accessibility standards. These services are operated by Google and we have limited control over their accessibility characteristics.
- PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need a document in a different format, please contact us using the information below.
